FLASH STROBE GRID Make it by Yourself

There are a lot of manuals how to make a Flash Grid. But this have some small improvement. We will use only solid materials and will avoid such as carton.
So what do we need:

  1. Black Foamed Plastic plate approx 400mm*100mm*3mm for the one GRID (I used Hobbycolor plate - here is a description of this material http://www.gutta.com/html/en/products/transparent-plastics/flat-materials/guttagliss-hobbycolor/) Its widely available in hobby shops or shops with materials for building.
  2. Set of black straws for the cocktails (approx 8mm in diameter) available in supermarkets or in METRO
  3. Transparent Glue
  4. Black repair tape 
Instruments:
  1. Sharp Knife or Scissors to cut the straws
  2. Dremel or Fretsaw to cut the plate
  3. Hairdryer to form the plastic foamed plate
  4. Shisha and Cola also could be used :)
Here we go!!!
First of all we should prepare external frame. Wrap your  flash head with a sheet of paper and mark the place where it sticks together. Decide which depth of GRID you need. As for me I made it 7cm (2.5cm for the head of flash and 4.5 for the GRID cells).
As for the length I have added additional 3cm for the sure (after bending the plate become shorter).






Cut the plate using Dremel or Fretsaw, sharp knife is also applicable but be very careful! 










Use Hairdryer for bending plate. Fit it to the flash so it could take the form of the flash. Make it on the edge of the table in the way the flow of hairdryer dont contact with Flash directly!(See the Picture)
After bending the last corner cut out your extra length  from the plate so both ends could touch together tightly.









Cut enough of straws. In my case its about 50 pcs. 45mm length.










Apply 2 lanes of glue for the opposite sides of the each straw and fill fully the Frame.










Band the frame tightly 2-3 times minimum with the repair tape. If its not enough of width finish the cell side and than apply the same to the the flash head side.








Congratulations!!! Now we are redy to test it!!!!
